How does it work with the ACL-Management?
Friday, 11 July 2008 20:10

In general there are 5 categories

  • Add
  • Edit
  • Delete
  • Reorder
  • Manage

Add is for adding a new row
Edit
is for editing the table cells
Delete is for displaying the red X behind every row. And therefor if a user can delete rows.
Manage is containing the elementary table functions like new row, rename, reorder, sort, ...

For every area and for every table you can set the user rights in the backend. For this go to the backend --> Components --> Event Table Edit --> Tables --> select the table you want --> at the bottom, there's the ACL-Management, similar to the standard Joomla 1.6 Access Level Management. Additionally you can choose, if a user is allowed to edit and delete his own rows.

At Event Table Edit and the Options in the toolbar you can set backend Access Levels for the component.
