In fact there was no new release of Event Table Edit in the last few months. One reason is, that I'm really busy at the moment. The second reason is that there is really a mass of new features in version 2.1.0. The version is quite completed, but I have to announce another delay: Beside features like the CSV Import / Export, enhanced BB-Code / Pagebreak and much more there will also be a Ajax-Editing. That means when editing, deleting or adding a new row you don't have to reload the whole page but a single click on the cell will be enough to edit it. The bad thing is - I really underestimated the difficulty of this AJAX-Editing because when starting it my JavaScript knowledge was only very basic. So the actual code is very buggy and unstructured. To provide a good code and make further developments easier I decided to redesign the Ajax-Code completely. Also the old code worked quite well I think it's a good decision to do it. And another problem is like always the Internet Explorer 6. When everything works perfect in Firefox you can start from the beginning when testing it in the IE :-) Who wants to test a working version can download nightly builds in the SVN repository on Joomlacode.org. |
